In February 2005 Neil Davis and his wife Wendy went to India to administer polio vaccine to help in Rotary's aim of eradicating polio from the world.  

This has been the major project of Rotary International, and over $US 5.5 billion has been spent, or committed.  There are now only two small populations of the virus left in the world and they are in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
